Bali Diving, 2007 HighlightsScuba diving in Bali, Indonesia, in September 2007 with AquaMarine Diving. Shot in HDV. Promo video for AquaMarine Diving for the London International Dive Show featuring mola mola at Crystal Bay, sharks at Nusa Penida, nudibranchs at Seraya Slopes, cuttlefish, the USAT Liberty shipwreck at Tulamben, and macro marine life subjects at Puri Jati. |
USAT Liberty Shipwreck, TulambenThe USAT Liberty was torpedoed by the Japanese off Lombok and beached at Tulamben in Bali. In 1963 the last eruption of Mount Agung caused the wreck to slide deeper into the see where she lies today. The USAT Liberty makes an excellent dive site. This video features the towering stern, the coral-encrusted gun on the bow, humphead parrotfish, a hawksbill turtle, garden eels, sweetlips and lots of other interesting marine life from the wreck and its surroundings. At 4 minutes the file is longer and bigger than our other videos. |
USAT Liberty Shipwreck, Tulamen. Night DiveThe USAT Liberty makes a fantastic night dive. Humphead parrotfish sleep in the protection of the wreck. Other highlights include Spanish dancers and a bluespotted stingray. |
Tulamben Drop-offVideo from the drop-off at Tulamben, Bali, featuring a spectacular purple giant gorgonian fan coral, nudibranchs, a ghost pipefish and a seahorse. Before and after exploring the drop-off we spend time in the shallows where we meet Tulamben's famous schools of trevallies. |
Tulamben Drop-off Night DiveBy night the drop-off at Tulamben provides plenty of treats for the visiting diver. This video includes a squat lobster, a cone shell, a dwarf cuttlefish, a hermit crab and various pretty reef fish. |
Coral Garden, TulambenThe Coral Garden at Tulamben lies conveniently right off the middle of the beach. White-banded cleaner shrimps tend to moray eels and groupers at a cleaining station based around a giant barrel sponge. Also featuring a ribbon eel, ghost pipefish, leaf scorpionfish and trevallies schooling in the shallows. |
Seraya SecretsSeraya Secrets, nearby to Tulamben, is an exellent muck dive known for weird and wonderful critters. Here we encounter some batfish around the artificial reef project in the shallows. A little deeper we find 2 thorny seahorses, catfish, anemone crabs and nudibranchs. |
Manta Point, Nusa PenidaOn the north-east side of Nusa Penida lies cleaning station for manta rays known as "Manta Point". On 23rd May 2006 we had the pleasure of diving with these graceful giants. |
Blue Lagoon, Padang BaiThe Padang Bai area on the east coast of Bali provides some fantastic diving. Just north of Padang Bai lies the Blue Lagoon. This footage comes from my first ever dive in Indonesia with a video camera and features leaf scorpionfish, cuttelfish, anemonefish, lionfish, shrimps, catfish, nudibranchs, moorish idols and a goby. |
Pura Jepun, Padang BaiPura Jepun also lies at the north of Padang Bai and is home to some fantastic marine life. This video features clownish, sweetlips, angelfish, a peacock mantis shrimp, a Kuhl's stingray, a panther grouper (barramundi), a wart slug, a ribbon eel, a bearded scorpionfish and a flying gurnard. |
Diving in Bali - DVD
Diving in Bali is a 54-minute record of a wonderful diving trip I made to Bali in May 2006. The DVD contains all the scenes shown in the video clips above, plus lots more.
From Tulamben there is footage of the wreck of the USAT Liberty in both day time and night time, including the humphead parrotfish that spend the night there. Also from Tulamben are dives from the drop-off and the Coral Garden.
Just around the corner we feature a dive at Seraya Secrets, an up-and-coming macro hotspot where I encountered seahorses.
From Padangbai on the east coast of Bali we have fine footage from The Blue Lagoon and Pura Jepun.
From the island of Nusa Penida we have the manta ray cleaning station, Manta Point, and Ped.
The result is a rivetting tribute to some of the finest diving on offer in Indonesia and would make an excellent gift for scuba divers or anyone fascinated by the underwater world.
The DVD features 159 species of marine life, and switchable subtitles display the name of each and every one. It makes an excellent accompaniment to the PADI AWARE - Fish Identification Specialty Course and many of the species and their close relatives are also found across the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean.
The DVD is priced at £13.95 (British pounds) plus £3.00 shipping (currency converter). Our online ordering is easy, fast and secure.
